If you want to play high-takeout tracks that's your business.  And, if that's the case you will not enjoy your time at this site.  Why's that?  Because this site and its supporters are thumbing their noses at every high-takeout venue in the game. And, this site and its supporters are doing two-thumbs-up for every low-takeout venue in the game.

Currently, the Saratoga meet is in full swing and it offers lower-than-average takeout.  Look to Monmouth Park for low takeout on Pick-4 and Pick-5 bets (15%) and that Pick-5 has a 50-cent minimum which gives you more coverage for your money.  Both of those Pick-bets have carryover provisions so there can be times when the pool offers even more value.

We will continue to focus on preferred low-takeout venues as those meets open.  Likewise, we will be critical of high-takeout venues when those meets open.  And, in that light, we are quick to point out the current meet at Turf Paradise.  Not only is Turf Paradise a high-takeout venue, but added to our disdain for that track are the actions by the horse owners and tracks to restrict online betting by Arizona horseplayers (bet a horse, go to jail - see Page 5, Section O).   A mighty Thumbs-Down for Turf Paradise and Arizona.

You can always check the takeout chart if you're not sure where the best takeout values are in the game.  Tracks that fail the takeout test do not deserve our support.  Those tracks do horseplayers no favors; and, horseplayers should do them no favors.

LIMIT YOUR PLAY

Horseplayers' only bargaining chip is their money.  Be selective where you play.  Reward low-takeout venues with your action.  Refuse to patronize high-takeout venues.  If you can play and get some form of rebate, do so.  Rebates are an indirect takeout reduction.  If you can get $1 worth of action for 95-cents, do it!
